Anyways to get off the murderous Eagle fans for a minute to discuss the actual game.

The only thing that would floor me is the Eagles blowing the Pats out tonight.

Anything else (Eagles win, Pats win, Pats blowout win) wouldn’t be surprising.

Think it’ll be hard for the Eagles to make it happen but rooting like hell for it.

Only part of the secondary that really concerns me is:

1) Jenkins covering Gronk. He’s the best option the Eagles have and he’s not gonna be able to do it. They have to know Gronk is gonna get his and they just have to limit it.

2) Darby/Mills have both bit HARD on double moves a handful of times this year and if either of them even slightly bite on one with Cooks, it’s a TD.

That scares me. Eagles have a big advantage in the trenches (on both sides) so hopefully that shows up.

 

With you it’s either perfect or terrible coaching.

All's I'm going to say is I fully trust Coach today. Overall this isn't a great match up for the Pats hence why the Eagles have an absolute shot.

They've even done that already. 04 against the Panthers and 05 against the Eagles.

 

I'm having trouble trying to respond to the idea that Pederson coaches the Eagles better than Belichick coaches the Pats without sounding like an arrogant Pats fan. I definitely think there's a reasonably good chance the Eagles win, but Bill getting outcoached would be a thoroughly surprising way for it to happen.

My gut says either Brady comes out strong and the Pats romp, or the trend of flat first quarters in huge games continues and there is finally no miracle comeback. So pretty much with whoever said Eagles blowout would be the one truly surprising outcome.

I think the Pats shut down the run and force the Eagles to pass uncomfortably often.

That’s usually how it goes. If you have one way you’ve been dominating opponents, NE finds a way to stop it.

 

The problem with your statement is the eagles haven’t been dominating opponents in any one phase of the game.

They’re quite balanced all over on offense. If Bill takes away the run game by loading up the box, then you’re leaving Ertz matched up one on one or letting a guy like Nelson Agholor lined up with someone not as fast as he is inside.

Bill was absolutely succeed in taking what the Eagles do best away but is there a solid consensus what they do best?

IMO, it’s the Eagles screen game and to be honest I’m not sure how they take that away with the Eagles OL playing at the level they are.
