in that scenario, I know a lot of people would think I’m on Solak’s side, but actually what he did is exactly why I don’t pause still images of game film and act like that helps explain anything. If you’re not judging the velocity and hip direction of the defenders in the play, you have no idea how much space/time that player actually has to see it and execute.

What analysts often don’t realize is little things like flipping your hips can actually take almost an entire second, and a LOT can happen in one second. Guys cover 12 yards in one second. It’s not just about how quickly you can see it and point to it on film from third person, they’re not factoring in the amount of time to reset feet and throw - even if that QB is really fast at it, if he wants to throw accurately to Shakir he 100% needs more time. The whole reason half field reads exist is to save time because full field progressions require more set up than simply looking across the field, you have to get into your pass set again before throwing

So his whole “Josh should’ve just turned that way and threw!” If he didn’t have time to even look at Shakir what makes you think he had time to turn around AND do a throwing motion lol. Let alone the TWO linebackers already running in Shakir’s direction before Shakir is even out of the backfield

NC has great mountains and great beaches and 3 very solid cities and a few great small towns as well, it’s one of the best states in the south tbh, you can do a lot worse in the south / middle America

 

I may take New Orleans well before any NC city but the state as a whole, NC >>>> LA haha

Living in charlotte has sucked on so many levels....and i disagree the state of north carolina may be even worse than the city. Bland or decrepit towns. No character. Poor infrastructure. I'm a 100% a NC hater and am counting the days for my lease to be up and then my tar heel days are over

Boone is nice. Wilmington is nice. And although I'd only been there for 3 days, Raleigh is obviously the superior city to charlotte (i made the wrong choice between the 2)
