The other one he had both hands on the ball, even if it was shuffling. This one, it clearly comes completely out of contact with his hands.

Basic idea is once you "catch" it and have possession of any form, the ball can move (and even hit the ground), as long as you maintain some control

 

Supposedly he didn’t have control before it hit the ground and on the previous one he had control before it hit the ground.

 

Didnt see first one close enough but this definitely isn't a catch
