The (I hear failing) New York Times has teamed up with Spotify to create a new subscription package:

Get a one-year New York Times All Access subscription for $5 a week, get Spotify Premium free — a $120 annual value.

  2. $120 value for something that'll cost $255 a year... Not a terrible deal by any means, but good luck finding people who want to sign up and don't already have Spotify. I guess the main draw will be for people to drop their current Spotify premium plans.

Right. I can see it being appealing to people who already have Spotify. They can basically get the NY Times for $135/yr.
