I been on this site since 2003 and you all wait till I leave ny to have a Meetup. I see how it is.

Hi NY folks! I just moved to North Williamsburg a few months ago. Can't make it to the Barcade meetup tonight but would definitely love to catch some shows with people over the next few months.

 

Hey how was the meetup? Who showed up?

Also just added some shows to my list this year:
ETID boat show on 10/11
PUP on 9/5
Spanish Love Songs 10/2

 

I’ll be at PUP and SLS for sure (I told your brother about PUP lol). It was just me, @h8bit, and @summertimejesus - good hang and we should do it again if people are up for it. Fall might be better for most people.

 

I got a friend who is new to nyc and they are almost exclusively into club/trap/pop music but I noticed them being 'interested" in every event I respond to on fb. I'm like girl u will not like anything that happens at st vitus, trust me.

What are some fun places to go to in east village/lower Manhattan? I feel like that more their scene

 

like Bowery Ballroom or Mercury Lounge, I know Webster Hall is being renovated

unless you meant like clubs in which case I don't know I don't go clubbing

 

I know a few people that love going to Bossa Nova for dance music if that’s what your friend is looking for, also the new-ish venue Elsewhere in Bushwick is awesome

 

Also was on vacation this week, bummed I missed the meetup! Hope to make it to the next one if it happens again. Will I see anyone at Foxing next month?

 

I wasn’t there so don’t worry about it.

i hate complaining about when tours don't roll through NYC because we get EVERYTHING but ETID just released tour dates w Turnstile and Angel Dust and there's not a SINGLE tri-state area date i'm gonna LOSE it

 

i will also be at foxing

 

They gotta be bringing out one of these bands to the boat shows, that's my guess.

Need to start taking more advantage of this group, I know almost no one in NYC anymore. Especially people who go to shows.

Going New York next year. Are there any particular restaurants/fast food places you recommend.

Me and my girlfriend are both veggie so that may alter things.
