New Years Resolutions/2017 Goals

What are your big plans for next year?

 

-work out
-stay sober
-eat better
-punch fascists

 

-eat better
-find a job
-move out on my own
-find some sort of fulfillment or happiness
-just realize stuff

 

- Be happier/less unhappy
- Be more politically active
- Get a headboard

 

A continuation from last year is to spend less money on stuff and spend more on experiences. That's what I want my money to go towards instead of junk. Go to all the concerts and make memories. Last year I went to Vegas to see Britney and Enrique. Next year I'm seeing Bruno and possibly Vegas again to see BSB!!

Mine this year is to stop procrastinating my life and happiness. My mantra is going to be "You'll sit alone forever if you wait for the right time. What are you hoping for?" I'm gonna apply it to my life choices and motivate me to stop sitting around and waiting for goal posts that I always move out of fear.

 

-lose like fifty pounds
-try to be happy
-move out
-write/record a masterpiece album that blows up

*Eat better (will quantify this at some point)
*Start exercising again
**Get more active in politics/my community
**Finish (& hopefully self publish) my fucking book
*Go to more shows

get my single engine instrument rating
give back more

- get myself to a good enough mental place where I can finally finish school

 

Another one I thought of be more open to try something new, I can't remember the last time I discovered a band

Maybe I should make a resolution to catch up on all my doctors appointments.

Also keep working on skills/educating myself on things. Rn all my focus is Spanish but I figure I should learn how to play my guitar at some point since I've had it for like 10 years.

 

Health:

• Run at least 1 5k race a month, place in at least 9/12 of them
• Get my 5k pace below 7:45/mile (if I reach this goal before end of June, then 7:30/mile is the new goal)
• Run 100 miles within 1 month at least 1 time (if I reach this goal before end of June, then 2 times is the new goal)
• Run at least 1 half-marathon (placing would be nice, but not expected)
• Increase all weightlifting exercises weight by at least 1.5x
• Unlock the Perfect Month achievement on the Apple Watch at least 3 times

Work:

• Be awarded the Employee of the Month
• Gain one certification in a relevant area of my position

Personal Life:

• Pay off 1 of 2 credit cards and only use that card for emergencies going forward
• My one vague goal of the year is to increase my Savings account

My boss and boss' boss are big into S.M.A.R.T. goal setting, so I'm using that structure for this upcoming years' goals. I think having them specific and measurable will help with tracking and achieving rather than just saying "run faster" or "run more." I think everyone in Admin is going to keep a OneNote book for all of our resolutions so we can keep each other accountable and encourage each other throughout the year.

 

- Relocate to Marlyand for good
(which in turn would lead to)
- Finally get some stability in my life
- Finally get my mental health in order enough to realize there's good in life
- If money is right, marry my girl.

 

-start working out/eating better. I've put on too much weight this past year and it's affecting my self esteem pretty hard
-move out and buy my own condo/house.

Those are my big two. I'd love to move up even more in the company I work for, so I'll be working extra to do all I can.
