New remakes of the classic Tony Hawk Pro Skater games have been released. The game has been remastered with improved graphics and gameplay, and the soundtrack has been expanded to feature newer songs from artists like Turnstile, IDLES, Denzel Curry, 100 gecs, and more.

The OC and Tony Hawk soundtracks have shaped my music preferences so much, I am excited for younger gen to play the game and have the same thing happen for them.

Absolutely! Plus the early-Madden soundtracks were huge for this scene too.

Half the comments I've seen about the soundtrack make me think those people haven't listened to any new music since high school though.

Much like the "You need to find Jesus" T-shirts, we should be slinging "You Need Chorus.fm" merch/content for discovering new music...

I think it's because THPS 1 + 2 Remake did a great job on the soundtrack. Both full soundtracks with new stuff, it was around 50/50 but the new one is more of a 20/80. I did get disappointed that some of the songs on the OG games are not on the remake but there are a lot of good newer songs. Also a lot of people are buying it for nostalgia reasons so I get the dislike of the changes.

It's true, there's definitely a big disparity from what they were able to do with 1+2 and I think it would be better if they could have just added more tracks. I'm happy for the inclusion of a lot of the new ones though.

Been playing this like crazy since Friday. So good.

It's not as reliant on the original soundtracks as 1+2 but it's got a great blend of all kinds of stuff. It's pretty great. Classic returning tracks (mainly from AFI, Del the Funky Homosapien and Bodyjar). Some stuff I've already listened to for a while now like Iron Maiden, Turnstile, POS, Murs, Mastadon etc.

And then a whooole slew of new stuff I've never heard of but really like.

I can definitely see some people probably being confused when they try to check out more of their music though lol
