it was crazy packed inside during the winter, you didn't miss much. i like going to bond st during the week when its not too crowded. and yes, the pretzels are tasty and big enough to share.
Don't forget the spare ribs and when the custard comes around take it right then and there, don't wait till later when it's dessert time cause there won't be any left and you'll be a sad boy.
Honestly all the food at Festhalle is amazing. I've been there for dinner before and loved it. But those pretzels are some next-level life-affirming stuff.
Haha noted. My fiancé and I always perk up when they bring out anything custard-related because it's always incredible. We always get our custard, this guy's never a sad boy!
It does! haha. Been in Toms River for the last 19 years, moving to Pittsburgh for a job. Still pretty excited because Pittsburgh is cool, but Jersey is a special place.
Dim sum was typically awesome this morning. Had steamed pork buns, soup dumplings, beef ribs with black pepper and garlic sauce, pork rice shu mai, shrimp shu mai, beef noodle rolls, congee, veggies wrapped in tofu skin, taro dumplings, red bean paste buns, pineapple buns, and custard cups. So, so good. Qin Dynasty in Parsippany is the move.
Gonna double-post this here and in the Food thread because it's that awesome. Speakeatery in Asbury Park is doing ten weeks of burgers named after members of the Wu Tang Clan. Every Thursday-Saturday starting this week. Stoked.
Oh I recognize they're not for everyone, mostly I just think it's cool that the place gets so creative with these burgers. It's cool to highlight awesome little places like this in Jersey.
Never lived anywhere else. Bought a house in Merchantville last year, just a few blocks from the Cherry Hill Mall. South Jersey > North Jersey
