Where in North Jersey? Are we talking about Mahwah (last northern town in NJ before NY) or are we talking about Newark?
I have not (no longer live in nj) but it looks pretty legit. Doesnt look like the mozz touches gios though ;)
Well, they're not an Italian deli but it's still up there. Their bread and warm chicken cutlet are on another level. It's one of those sandwiches where you're full after half but you can't stop eating it haha
White Manna Burgers in Hackensack. Also yeah that dude from Cymbals loves The Wrens and they're from Secaucus, but the other NJ references in Cymbal songs are like 2 hours south, closer to Philly like Belmar and Manalapan so I'm not sure if you can cover all that
Tops Diner in East Newark. I'm also gonna throw in my own personal favorite Thai spot, Topaz in Belleville. For Pho, I recommend Binh Duong in Bloomfield. Mitsuwa at Edgewater is also a treat.
Also a couple good diners are Coach House in Jersey City and Tick Tock in Clifton. Benny Tudinos in Hoboken for pizza. Big slices too. I second Mitsuwa. Fort Lee and Edgewater have really good ramen spots.
Sushi: Arigato in North Haledon. It's a little bit of a hike but it's $20 for unlimited sushi! Steakhouse: Roots Steakhouse in Ridgewood. Phenomenal steak and you get what you pay for. BBQ: The Wood Pit in Montclair. Reminds me of that BBQ place from House of Cards but it's real southern BBQ.
I've never been to the Coach House and I worked in Jersey City for a few years. The outside looked like dump and people nicknamed it the "Roach House" for obvious reasons.
Glad to see some familiar North Jersey name dropping. I'm from Bergen County. Seems like I always see people referencing South Jersey stuff in here
