Let's try not to act like the Court has been sincere for a long time. Court Tavern promoters have been running pay to play shows since at least 06-07...
Honestly, the entirety of Rutgers campus is loaded with pokestops and pokemon. Only other places I've been to are Red Bank and Asbury, and they're both awesome for it too.
Caught a Scyther in Jersey City yesterday. There was about 200 people at the Morristown Green playing last night.
In Morristown? Theres like 6 pokestops on the green and lures going off every night. Tons of gyms in the area too so the streets all around the Green were packed as well. Super fun. Met a few new people playing too.
Maybe I'll go over that way Sunday. I Went into Chatam to restock yesterday and summit on Saturday. Trying to figure out which place is best. lol
You live in the area? Nice. Yeah, Morristown is as good as it gets around Morris County/ Western Essex. I was at the Short Hills Mall last Saturday - no service inside the mall.
Fuck that mall so much. I live in New Prov/Murray Hill. Depends of what I want to call it on a given day.
LOL - I went for Club Monaco, that store is the depiction what I want my closet to look like. Plus I get most of my business clothes in that mall because I get discounts from my company.
My girlfriend lives in Somerville. I like the downtown a lot. We were walking to dinner and we must have passed about 50 people playing Go (including us). So many pokestops...
For any Kevin Smith/Clerks fans, the quickstop in Leonardo where they filmed Clerks is a gym and a friend of mine is currently the leader. I'm in the process of leveling up so I can leave a Pokemon there
I can just hear it now, Personal trainer: "Come on! Give me one more!" Dante: "I'm not even supposed to be here today!"
Oh hey, this thread is a thing. Went to Sea Bright yesterday and not sure how I felt about it. Also, I live around New Brunswick and finally checked out Destination Dogs
Probably not the best place to post this but we're looking for some help with BTB. We're looking for interviewers who would like to talk to their favorite bands and have their interviews get featured on our podcast. If interested, send me a PM and we'll go from there!
Hoboken train crash thing is crazy, hope everyone is ok. I have a lot of friends who use that station every day to commute...
While I support legalized gambling in general, I encourage everyone here to vote NO on casino expansion. Casinos in NJ are only built to sucker the state government out of money. All you need to look at is Revel to know what really goes on there.
Dude, AC has been fucked for years. Plus, NJ is losing a hell of a lot of money to NY and Pennsylvania. I currently work for the Meadowlands Racetrack (one of the proposed sites for the North NJ casino) and I will guarantee that a lot of people will lose their jobs if this doesn't pass. The reason AC is failing is because the government decided to line their pockets with the money that was supposed to be used to help the area. To be honest, who's to say that the same thing won't happen again in East Rutherford but it won't turn into another AC. Bergen County is one of the wealthiest counties in NJ and the casino will be in the same complex as Giants Stadium and American Dream (Xanadu or whatever it's called this week).
You're 100% right about AC and its downfall. But that doesn't mean that the casinos in Bergen county won't be built to fail and pocket all the taxpayer money like Revel was. Like I agree with you in their I just can't bring myself to trust the state anymore.
I don't blame you at all man. This state is basically fucked until Christie leaves (or gets put in jail). The problem is, he's against all of these things that could bring in high revenue to NJ such as legal marijuana, sports betting and North NJ casinos. Plus, he just did that 24 cent gas tax that brought us from 46th in the country to top 10 in most expensive gas. The Meadowlands is ran by Jeff Gural and his investment group. It's been that way since he bought out the NJSEA. This means that the state doesn't own the racetrack. If the casino is on Meadowlands property, I don't think the state has the rights to it. Obviously the state will get a cut but they won't be able to bleed the place dry. If the casino passes there, it'll be a Hard Rock Casino since they bought those rights. They are an established company and their casino in Vegas is incredible. It'll be the same people from out there bringing in the shows, the casino, and the restaurant. So, if the casino people can guarantee you that the state won't have any involvement with how it's run, would you vote for it?
unless this is wrong, it looks like christie supports North NJ casinos. regardless, i just wish there was some site with nonpartisan takes on what both ballot measures mean, in layman's, you know? New Jersey Allowance for Casinos in Two Additional Counties, Public Question 1 (2016) - Ballotpedia
That's strange. I could've sworn he was against it. Maybe he switched his opinion recently. Honestly, the way things are shifting, it's going to be a no.
