New Green Day Album This Fall?

A fan on the Green Day community forums said he ran into Billie Joe recently and the singer said that a new album was being worked on and would hopefully be out “in the fall.” He posted a photo of him with Billie for the non-believers.

New Blink, new Sum 41, new Green Day? What a year.

 

...and new Simple Plan, new Yellowcard and new Good Charlotte.

 

This is most appropriate for the albums we're getting this year.

 

I don't feel like a fan meeting is enough to bank on. I have a sneaking suspicion that this will turn into one of those "well we wanted to release it in the fall, but then x happened, and because of y we decided to release it five years from now." An official statement is a lot more committed than a statement said to one person and I kinda doubt Billie expected it to end up all on the internet.

 

And Relient K... Heck of a year.

 

A reinvention would be nice.. And make it short and sweet.
