I hope so too. The Schmidt name reveal had me worried because it felt like they were gearing up for the end in case they didn't get the chance to come back and do that.
If this does get renewed, that's definitely how I'd see it going and I'm okay with that. And it'd be great to see Nasim get promoted to a series regular now.
Probably the best episode of this season. I really hope this gets renewed for one last season, but if not it seems like they're trying to wrap up alot of storylines now.

'New Girl' EPs Answer Pressing Questions About the Season Finale -- And What's Next The quote at the end there about the time jump with the coda is interesting because they've mentioned a potential time jump for season seven in other interviews. I'd love to have a final season that works somewhat in the vein of the seventh season of Parks and Recreation. Seeing Schmidt as a helicopter parent is one of the few times on television that I would actually want to see that.
