Nope, Blackbear said he finished each of the songs on the album before their guest vocals were confirmed.
mat musto (blackbear) was in polaroid so he grew up in that genre and it's cool to see him get back into it. these are terrible quality but i can't find these songs anywhere else online. 100% my favourite ep ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjdtInj0p-g
Should also be noted that we aren't allowed to variant collect according to this company. Said they will cancel any orders from people who try to order this one.
It will be “allowed”, there are re-sellers for that. The priority is to get this long sought after record into the hands of as many people who want it as possible. There aren’t even enough copies as is without people duplicating
That looks to be the same splatter that went on sale Wednesday. So is this "limited to 2000 units" in addition to the 1200 that sold this week, or total? Cuz if it's the latter then this will be a bloodbath.
You will be doing it yourself — once everybody else has a fair chance at getting one copy before you get two. Don’t be greedy!
I think the big issue with most labels that do vinyl records is cash on hand. Just for this album alone it will be at least $40k for the label (probably more for a double lp), assuming each unit is about $10 to make. I realize it’s not one or two transactions most likely but you still need to be good for it. The profit is still insane, but I don’t think a ton of small labels have the means to do more in a lot of cases. Not saying it’s the best system, but I think acknowledging that fact is relevant. Most people don’t have that kind of money sitting around in an operating account. If only the major labels cared more and would do larger runs on their own, but clearly they aren’t focused on that if they are willing to sell the rights in the first place to a small record label.
Even if you are collecting, i feel like you would still want others to have a chance to get one and enjoy before getting yourself another. We are all fans here, and it’s a record that means a lot to us.
Unless you are visibly displaying each actual record, i dont see much of a point either. Even so, then you are just focusing on the look of the design and not the album itself. In that case, you could just be buying any and every vinyl you like the design of, regardless of what album it is. Maybe im thinking too much with this.
