So much of the consternation is that these labels are just stupid. Field Day has apparently asked Universal multiple times to reprint their pressing of Ocean Avenue and have been denied every time. These are assets just sitting collecting dust on the shelves of major labels – if someone wants to take all the risk, why not license them?
I don't get it, it's like they don't want to allow too much and "devalue" their asset, but then they don't ever let the shit get pressed what's the point of hoarding it to just sit there never being released?!
Right, like it shouldn’t require any convincing for a label to press something like Catalyst, the second highest selling, never been pressed before record by a genre titan whose legacy albums consistently move thousands of units in seconds
Are there any bonus tracks from Coming Home that I'm missing besides Over You? I have Make It Right, Golden, It's All Around You and Making Plans.
Coming Home b-sides have always seemed to be the favorites around this community, but the Sticks and Catalyst ones are way stronger imo
FINALLY got a response from them through email. I messaged again on Facebook and it auto replied with contact info. I got confirmation on my one order. The other should fall off soon as it didn’t go through.
It won’t. Take Heart only had one confirmation under my name. If it does miraculously show up it’s already claimed by a friend.
For anyone curious, Chad confirmed on IG today that he had no part in the writing or recording of that Blackbear song. That riff is so reminiscent of NFG, kudos to blackbear for capturing the vibe!
