I’m getting nervous that I only got a PayPal confirmation

 

Oh wow I got a confirmation email when the site went back up! Feel like I was just brought back to life in the ambulance

 

Got an email saying my PayPal charge went through but no email from the label yet. So idk

 

I was really excited for this, and it sucks that I didn’t get it, but not blaming anyone but scalpers who will inevitably profit from this. Not breaking my no-scalper-buy rule for this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I wish Limited Run used Apple Pay or had full PayPal check out. It makes everything so smooth.

If PayPal went through, my guess is your order went through, since the email confirmation is usually attached to the website itself (notifier@limitedrun), so if it's down, the email send capabilities are probably down.

 

I feel the same way.

The problem is so many releases like this only have a small number of special variants, and no black variant pressed in greater numbers. In an interview Jack White said he thinks all albums should have an infinite numbers black variant available, and nothing should ever be completely out of print. While this is probably impossible at present due to countless factors, I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment. Variants are cool, but sometimes just owning a vinyl copy is enough.

 

It is promising that the site had the records listed as First Pressing, which I assume means multiple pressings will be coming from this. Absolutely wild about the demand for this.

 

Oh cool, I was charged three times despite two errored out. Hope I don’t get screwed because they were unprepared.

Yeah, I hate to see people miss out, but am also thrilled that there seems to be a high demand. In light of all the health issues, I'm guessing Chad will take all the good vibes he can get. Too bad people (not on this site; on social) likely won't keep that in mind when trashing the band/site for the crash.

 

I've had that happen once. I waited for my order to ship, then went through the site to have the "extra" ones removed. Was pretty easy and no hassle, the payment provider should be able to do it too. Since these records are 'in hand' and can ship soon, that's even better since you won't have to wait long.

 

On a somewhat unrelated note: would love a pressing of Catalyst to go up.

 

I just hope they don’t cancel them all saying I tried to get more than one. I only got PayPal confirmation once so maybe it won’t fully process?

 

id be more than happy to have a standard black variant of records I missed out on over the years. I want the vinyl overall, not the color.

Yeah, fully agree. Ironically, the “hunt” is part of what makes collecting vinyl so fun and addicting, but it shouldn’t be the only avenue into being a hobbyist

What I don’t get is how people can list it when they don’t even have it yet.

It took me an entire year to get my copy of Fall of Troy’s Manipulator so who knows when these will even ship lol
