wow this tour. they even left out their two worst albums. would pay big monies for a show with any combination other than ngcs/self-titled
wow! i wish it was coming to SLC... i might have to make it out to Hollywood to catch some or all of the shows out there.
A reference to South Park this season. "Member berries" were used to drive the joke that the force awakens wasn't all that good and just a rehashed idea.
I find it curious that it was posted after the NFG 20 Year announcement, saying all they have to offer is the past?
well, that's not really true. yeah, they're doing a big anniversary tour, but they're also still recording new stuff every couple of years. so if that is what Steve is saying, he's wrong. so like... who cares? haha
Yeah, I mean, I totally agree. Either way, I'm super pumped for the tour. Planning to catch a night in Detroit and Chicago to get the albums I want to hear most.
Vegas is much closer for me, but I think I'd rather go to Hollywood and check out all 3 nights, if I can.
On the event page for my venue it says it comes with a digital download of their next album this spring also.
May hit up either Denver or West Hollywood for this, though I've already seen s/t and S&S, and don't care at all to see NWAF.
I had no idea Steve still tweeted/was still in the public eye at all Is anything known about his case at all?
HOLY SHIT I've been off the site for quite some time since my first son was born few months ago, but holy shit am I amped for this. Three days at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago I can't believe it. Yes I have seen Sticks and Stones and Self Titled (twice) in full but throwing in Catalyst, Not Without A Fight, Nothing Gold andddd Coming Home. Wow - just when I thought I couldn't love this band anymore. They give their fans everything. I'm cutting my yearly big fam trip to Florida short by a few days in order to make it home for all three of the dates to Chicago. I think I've seen NFG around 22 times as of right now...25th time will be night three in Chicago for me. I AM SOOOOO STOKED
Random question, I'm not insanely familiar with NFG's back catalogue - was Coming Home that big of a diversion? There are some damn good songs on that album.
I feel like there was so much AP drama with Coming Home. People didn't like it initially and then a few years ago it suddenly clicked for a lot of people and it's one of their favorite NFG albums now.
Yea it got a lot of hate when it first came out, but has somehow transformed into a classic album and more people have realized (finally imo haha) how awesome it is.
