I'm ok with the feeling that the label pushed for that sound on Coming Home. We also got the beginning of International Super Heroes of Hardcore during that era.
Interview from that era: Steve Klein of New Found Glory I don’t think it was the label at all, they co-produced the album and were just in a different place when writing and ready to try something new. And it worked!
Yeah I think it was them trying to go the “mature” route ala blink with Untitled and Green Day with American Idiot and for whatever reason fans didn’t receive it the same way. I really don’t know why it wasn’t well liked at the time, I liked it then and it really aged well. It’s a shame they returned for what worked for them going forward instead of pushing their sound more.
I wonder what the band honestly thinks about forever and ever x infinity now that is been out a while. They have to know that they can do better than that.
That was pretty smooth actually. Got the clear blue/ultra clear with splatter. There's 1000 of those, and 2000 of the yellow variant.
