Did find the bit about the manager advising him to tell no one else until after the tour interesting. Really shows the complicated inner-workings of the business side of these bands - this could have very easily been a situation where it was misreported the band must have known, went on tour and then kicked him out only once the charges became public.
The focus on the verification part is very obviously because of legal advise, that's total legal excuse for why it was "ok."
Just realized no one mentioned the upcoming live stream. They're doing a live acoustic show in Nashville on May 8th. Tickets for the stream are on sale, but I think tickets to be in the audience are sold out. Total Request show, you vote for the setlist. New Found Glory
If I could pick an NFG setlist, it would pretty much only be songs from self titled and not without a fight.
Forever x Infinity is easily their worst record. Resurrection has some good tracks, but feels lifeless and desperately needed a second guitarist. Coming Home isn’t my favorite NFG record, but it’s still great and didn’t get the love it deserved. Sticks & Stones is their best record.
Radiosurgery grew on me a lot over the years. I have a hard time ranking their albums other than resurrection and the new one would be the bottom two
I almost got mad at your for slandering Makes Me Sick because I very briefly thought it was the newest one haha
Catalyst has a few weak points, but I love the majority of it. Is it on Spotify in the US? It’s never been available in Canada, and it frequently irritates me.
I’ve settled on this. Coming Home is their best album they’ve made. It’s a great pop-rock album with some NFG sprinkled (thank you Jordan). I would then say that self-titled is the best NFG record. But would also listen to someone saying it’s NWAF. Both of those records epitomize what the band does and why they’re still around.
Hmm, I have no idea what’s up then. A few other random records that used to be missing that eventually showed up were The Starting Line - Say it Like You Mean It and Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up. I don’t really listen to music any other way nowadays, so I hope Catalyst shows up someday
