It’s a song you wouldn’t know by name for sure. That’s how it was for me when this was announced at least
Yeah I feel like that song was everywhere back in the day. Don't really hear it that much these days though.
NFG was my favorite band for a long, long time but I kind of fell out of love after Resurrection and Makes Me Sick. This is a ton of fun, though. I'm actually seeing them on this tour in June, it's been years. A friend and I who I don't see much at all anymore are getting together to go. It's a cool reunion of sorts, since we used to see them together all the time.
Agreed. Saw them on their tour with Bayside last year and it might have been the best they've ever sounded. Thank goodness they had the sense to add a second guitarist back into the live show.
so yeah, Puzzles is greyed out on Apple Music -- wasn't it originally supposed to be part of this release?
This band really feels like they have caught a second wind in their long, amazing career. I loved 'Makes Me Sick' and this is my favorite covers album by them. 'This Is Me' feels like the standout track on the album. I hope this band never stops making music, we are so lucky to have them!
I had that same thought the last few nights listening through their discography. Even my least favorite records are full of jams. They've also basically never taken a break throughout this whole thing like a lot of bands have, so that's also pretty amazing. I'd say my interest in them died down a bit around Radiosurgery and was somewhat revived by Resurrection. Makes Me Sick is one of my favorites from their entire collection though and sold me all over again.
The band definitely slowed down around then too. While the band may not acknowledge that they were on hiatus/break they definitely slowed down for a few years around then
I've always assumed a lot of that slowdown period had to do with the situation with Steve and effects of that ugliness too
Puzzles bonus track. I also bought the EP just for the track so I can give you an MP3 if you message me :).
Anyone who got the vinyl know what RPM it needs to be played at? I know it can vary for 10 inch records.
