Almost never hear Jordan talk for this long on subjects other than general “who are your influence” questions so it was nice.

Interesting. Most interesting to me is the part about him not contributing any lyrics to entire albums…while not unheard of, I wonder which album(s) he has no lyrics on.

I mean, I know they kind of say differently now, but Steve used to be the lyrics guy. I’d guess some of those albums he is on are ones Jordan didn’t write any of the lyrics.

Steve was the main writter, it was well known back then, and sadly it really shows in their discoraphy.

Honestly I think It’s Not Your Fault was perfect single for Coming Home….I remember hearing it and absolutely loving the change and then the whole album came out and instantly became my favorite for how different it was

I feel llke not putting the title track out as a single in spring 06 was a huge missed opportunity. It was perfect for college kids coming home for the summer.

Jordan has done 10+ interviews over the last few days. Some album updates and interesting tidbits:

- One song is a pure Power Pop song
- One song sounds like an Earth Crisis pop song
- Chad would come in studio in the morning and stay as long as he could before getting tired and they’d all review recordings in the morning and make songs tweaks
- He looks at Good Charlotte brothers as super ambitious (buying AP magazine, doing their podcast, etc) while he “turns off” being a band guy at home. When he’s not with the band recording or touring, he’s not thinking about NFG. He doesn’t find the need to be grinding and pushing NFG 24/7 at this point in the bands career.

^ sad to hear that but understandable. These guys are dads now, and it’s hard to have same ambition 25+ years in

Yup. Their company MDDN owns Alt Press and Veeps, as well as manages a lot of different artists and producers
