I love NWAF. And they are the fools for I’m The Fool not being officially on there

 

What do you guys like about NWAF? It’s such a slog for me to get through, curious what the appeal is for those who love it.

The appeal is songs I enjoy. That’s really all it is for me.

 

I like the whole album but it’s one of the rare ones for me where I actually enjoy the back half more than the front half. Truck stop blues, Tangled Up, Reasons, Such A Mess, Reasons, Heartless at Best, I’m The Fool… love these songs

 

Truck stop blues got a big pop when I saw them last year. I always liked the album.

 

NWAF is one I rarely revisit for whatever reason. Some bangers, some clunkers. Middle of the road NFG album for me.

Re-listening to I’m The Fool now, how did this not make the album?

 

"Listen To Your Friends" is one of their best singles.

 

I guess I don’t know how to really articulate it beyond thinking there are a lot of great songs on there

Also, NWAF is the last good NFG album. EVerything after that was just unbearably schlocky.

I liked Resurrection a lot.

Resurrection had 3 really good songs and whatever number of really bad songs

NWAF isn't bad but just not memorable. Radiosurgery is catchy.. almost too catchy? Idk I listen to it once in awhile

Makes Me Sick does not contain clunkers

I listened to the proper Infinity once and realize that's the right call every time anybody quotes it

 

I definitely don’t like Makes Me Sick as most seem to, but it’s still a pretty good record.
