He references the deluxe tracks for forever and ever but those are better than most of the actual album. LOL
puzzles, backseat, last red eye, the devil has many faces they should've swapped out same side sitters for one of those rippers. that song is CRINGY haha and i fucking love NFG but i cant listen to that song at all.
Catalyst Coming Home Sticks & Stones Resurrection Not Without a Fight Radiosurgery Make the Most of It Self-Titled Nothing Gold Can Stay Forever & Ever x Infinity
I tried Make The Most and immediately realized I don’t listen to NFG for acoustic songs…just didn’t work at all.
The first record I heard was the self-titled, so going back to Nothing Gold, sonically, was difficult given how much better they sounded and I never got into that album.
Felt the same until I saw the acoustic tour and honestly those songs opened up into so much more. Still probably won’t reach for the record that often but the live setting definitely made me appreciate it
Coming Home is their best album objectively. Everything before NWAF can fight for the next few spots.
The worst part is them following up Makes Me Sick, one of their best records, with whatever that last album was.
Without the deluxe songs Forever x Ever would sit dead last for me. But Puzzles, Red Eye, Backseat plus Greatest of All Time give that album a real bump over the other bottom tier NFG records.
The X Infinity EP might be their best stuff since either Coming Home or Not Without A Fight and I’m someone who also loves Radiosurgery and Makes Me Sick.
I did not dig the acoustic album until they played most of the songs on the acoustic tour. The songs sound incredible live and the album resonated with me more after hearing chad talking about everything he’s been going through. Definitely made me appreciate the album more. I just wish the old songs were re-recorded instead of being live versions.
I had very low expectations going in, but it was a really special night. Jordan absolutely killed it and had a ton of energy for a show I expected to be subdued. I loved the intimate feel of the show and Chad was incredibly open about his battle during the show. You could tell he was feeling rough, but trying to not let it affect him. The Portland show ended up actually being the last show he did on the tour. I feel lucky to have experienced it and I’m glad he seems to be doing a lot better. I’d love to see him on the AAR tour.
Adding them to an already long album just to make it better than the acoustic record is a bad excuse imo. Plus, i dont mind the acoustic record personally. Wouldnt rank it high, but certainly above Foreve.
