Oh yeah, sorry, I didn't state that very clearly. I meant that I was worried the pit area in St. Louis would have chairs like your show, but it was standing-only down there (I didn't mean that people were standing in front of their chairs). There were still handfuls of sections that had seating though, but I think that's just how the venue is all the time.
I bet this coming home-heavy set is a blast for them. At least for Jordyn. He told me once many moons ago when he tattooed me that he wanted to take the band in that direction but the people wanted pop punk so pop punk is what they gave them
The acoustic show is a blast! If you’re on the fence, it’s totally a unique experience and a lot of fun. I loved the unique setlist and different arrangements throughout the set. The songs on the new album translate way better live and Jordan’s voice really shines. I’m glad I didn’t sell my tickets and decided to check this out. Only complaint would be the crowd. Lots of morons talking throughout the set, which is the only drawback of acoustic shows especially in the pop punk/emo scene. I do not get paying $50 to see a band and then talking the entire time.
Can't wait for the Somerville show. Every clip I have seen sounds incredible, and such a good setlist!!!
yep, the Garden Grove show I saw had people spilled into the walkway. One couple, cocktails in hand, had a full-throated conversation with each other for most of the set. was pretty dumb
I give him huge props for seemingly trying to be positive but man for him to just casually mention tumors like…. that is hard to hear.
Holy shit. That’s fucking awful. It sounds like they’re keeping on top of it the best they can though. So that’s good news.
I just want Chad to beat the hell out of this cancer bullshit so NFG can write their next punch-to-the-face album and heavily tour it while selling sick ass merch. Still waiting for a Robo-Chad cartoon tshirt.
Especially with the tour speculated in this thread this week for the fall: Tour Prediction and Speculation Thread • Page 2222 • forum.chorus.fm
I went back to Forever x Ever earlier today, and while I don't think it's as bad as I remember it to be (it's kinda fun), it's really brought down by some super awkward vocal melodies all over the place. It frequently feels like Jordan (or whoever's writing the lyrics now, Chad?) is trying to cram too many words in too small of a space, and it just feels super clunky. Musically it's like NFG on autopilot, but at this point in their career I'm totally fine with that. I'm not looking for them to reinvent the wheel
