this talk of a 'clapback' song maybe directed at Hayley seems juuuust a bit cringey, as they say. If that's how this shakes out (as you suggest the song might, Jason), that's going to be very disappointing, IMO.

I think the other kicker is that Chad already did one cringey breakup song with Hayley when they started dating and he broke up with Sherri.

I think all those sounds were really rough lyrically lol. But I didn’t mind a lot of them

 

Pop punk has a history of “relationship songs”. Now the people singing them and songs being sung about are just older and more famous. Heck, they have stuff about the guy they kick out too. It may all be cringery or whatever people want to call it, but it’s not like the topics are off the table when you know you hang out with the writer. Leaving names out of the equation though is a good idea though because it allows for some artistic freedom.

Tried to listen to Infinity yesterday and I still have no idea how they made that after Makes Me Sick. Monumental drop off

 

Is Makes Me Sick good? I remember listening to it once a while back, not really hitting me, and then haven't gone back since. Don't think I've ever listened to Infinity.

Yeah Makes Me Sick Again, with the three extra songs, is fantastic. Produced by Aaron Sprinkle and mixed by the legendary Tom Lord-Alge...all-around amazing record.

 

Nice. I will definitely give it another listen this weekend then.

 

While I definitely acknowledge MMS being a very good album, for whatever reason it never grabbed me. Tried a few times, not sure what it is. It’s a thousand times better than Infinity though lol

 

Have really enjoyed both of these new acoustic tracks. Glad they decided to do something like this.

 

Makes Me Sick is probably the most I enjoy an album from them since Coming Home

Easily. I think I could do with tweaks on what they did here for the rest of their career. Has the best of CH and the first 4 albums.

 

New song is bloody great. Would actually love if they kinda go in this direction on their next album and make a Coming Home Pt II

 

I emailed about an update for the second coming home pressing. They said it should be coming in within a few weeks.

 

Been on a discography run for the band lately, Radiosurgery is a crazy fun album
