they'll always be one of my favorite bands for all the memories i have tied to so many of their songs, and i'm sure they can still put out stuff that grabs me like this record did, but i really worry that they might soon call it quits. YC did, twice, and both have always shared a target audience and had similar sales figures and overall success, so i wonder how long they can keep going before their shows empty out and/or they become too old to keep doing it also hope they can come back down here before putting it to rest. i was too young when they came the first time and missed the second
As long as they don't call it quits before I see them play Catalyst and Sticks & Stones on Halloween, I'll be pretty satisfied lol. Can't top that for me
Those are the 2 albums I'm seeing them play as well. And those are my 2 favorite albums from them so I'm excited. Also, I saw them play a setlist of all fan-requested songs on Halloween once and it was so fun.
I've definitely thought about this, especially with how hard their touring schedule has been lately. But, I mean, Cyrus has a kid and a real estate license now, Ian/Jordan have kids/families, so yeah, I'd have to think it's at least crossed their mind. However, these tours are going SO well, at least in terms of the number of sold-out gigs, I'd have to think (hope?) they'll announce a definitive farewell before just calling it a day so I can get to some more shows. Had some really great memories over the years, seeing them 30+ times, so yeah.
Idk, every time I see them live they're always on top of their game and seem to love still being able to do what they do. Their energy and passion at their shows is inspiring, i don't see them quitting anytime soon.
cannot believe I missed that completely, damn. I remember Chad posting about the new Paramore record but hadn't seen this until now. wow. I also don't remember reading anything about that on this very website, which surprises me - either that I just missed it or that it wasn't discussed at all.
Is it just me who finds it slightly weird that Chad calls the album "New Found Glory Makes Me Sick"? He did it at my date too so it must just be a thing.
I think it's the distinction between calling the album "Makes Me Sick" and "New Found Glory Makes Me Sick." In the former, what specifically makes them sick is up in the air, but in the latter is is the band specifically that makes "me" sick. It does put a different spin on the title
