I feel like I need to give NWAF another listen but I just remember after the first 5 songs the album dragged to me and the 2nd half of the album is just blah minus "Heartless at Best" and the bonus song "I'm the Fool". I probably will go back and revisit NFG's whole library soon though. I love their self-titled and Sticks and Stones so much but haven't listened to either straight through in years.
okay I just listened to Ressurection and I gotta say I wish Ready and Willing was recorded for Makes Me Sick. I feel like it has so much potential that's lost on the production of Ressurection
I really don't like NGCS at all. I'm seeing them play s/t and S&S on the 6th but they're also playing NGCS and Catalyst on the 4th which I'm debating only cause I dislike NGCS that much. I wish it would've been CH instead
it's so good! but i can't find it anywhere! i've been to 3 different CD stores and no one had it. boo.
I know these guys are a four piece but I wish they would add a second guitar backing musician to their live show because these songs aren't going to be as enjoyable with just Chad.
I don't know about this tour () but even when I saw them with Steve their guitar tech played sidestage for like, at least half of the songs
The 20th anniversary tour was my first time seeing them as a four piece. You could tell the performance suffered at times, but Chad did a great job with the guitar work and using loops when he had to.
Why don't they just at least get a hired gun guitarist who chills in the background? Or better yet (just thought of this) hold a contest to find NFG fans that are good guitar players (and know all their songs) and have the winner play a whole set with them in the winner's hometown when NFG tours there. That'd be cool! At least I think so, haha.
I enjoy them same as I did when they had Steve on the board.Honestly he was always that ,,5th" guy to me.....beside that...new album is fucking ,,beautiful",love all these little and short riffs ,,hidden" all over the album
okay i've heard this a trillion times, i can do this now. 1) Call Me Anti-Social 2) Cheapest Thrill 3) Barbed Wire 4) Happy Being Miserable 5) Sound of Two Voices ---- the top 5 are definitely my five favorite, with the order switching all the time. 6) Your Jokes Aren't Funny 7) Party on Apocalypse 8) Blurred vision ---- 6-8 are all totally enjoyable but don't do too much for me. 9) Say it Don't Spray It 10) Short and Sweet --- only 2 tracks i'm just not feeling. Say it dont spray it sounds like a B-level self-titled song and short/sweet is just eh . so in the end this album has given me FIVE real standouts which is GREAT for me. When I do the math, that means it's right up their with resurrection. Boy would I love to make one album out of half of this album and half of the other, talk about a super album. but it's all good. the boys have done it again.
I need to apologize: I said this album disappointed me on a rainy morning before work. I listened today with some fruity vodka in me while mowing the lawn on a beautiful evening, and I repent. This thing rips. Call Me Anti-Social is going to be in every playlist all summer, and as someone who can't stand most pop punk I am really glad this thing exists.
