Yeesh, like this album a lot and all but that video sounded rough. And unsurpringly, Jordan seems to have a lot of trouble with that high note in he chorus. Oh well, fun studio song anyway!

I think that's a pretty good spread there! Probably would have included "Forget My Name" and "Truth of My Youth" just because those seem to be considered staples for this band.
This album reminds me of Radiosurgery in that it's short, to the point, musically a bit different, and destined seemingly to be forgotten in favour of the next "throwback" record.
Must be a stock issue - I preordered way back when and got my UO vinyl two days before release date. Worth the wait - it looks awesome.
I've pretty much never liked NFG's videos so I've concluded I should never judge a song of theirs with visuals the first time. Because Happy Being Miserable is awesome. Great driving album. I think this is the most prominent bass I've ever heard on a pop-punk album. Love it. Bottom line, it's pretty awesome. Sprinkle should be their Jerry Finn. They should ride those keys from here on out, suits them so great. And get whoever to play a second guitar live.
Unfortunately, yes. I think Feldman has successfully planted his seed into Blink and started sprouting long term relationships with them.
I'd guess yes. Blink has a track record of sticking with the same guy (Jerry Finn before he passed away and eventually themselves). They seemed happy with their experience, and I bet NFG was happy too. Almost forgot Joppus did Not Without A Fight. Both Sprinkle and Feldmann are artists and producers so that part is interesting.
Dang. I just realized that I'm not going to be able to see these guys in SUCH a long time. They're on the road and overseas through October. They're not even coming to San Diego (WHERE JORDAN LIVES!) and the OC/LA shows this past weekend were the 20 year shows. :( Really want to see them touring to support this album.
Frustrating that the OC dates were at the Observatory. Why couldn't they just come down and play the sister venue?
I have to say after playing this album at least once or twice a day since it came out, I think it's the most enjoyable NFG I've heard. I'm a casual fan of the band and haven't heard every album so I can't say it's their best but it is extremely fun and catchy. I actually really like Short and Sweet. If i had to pick a weaker song on the album, it'd have to be Barbed Wire but it's still solid.
Agreed. I haven't been able to stop listening to this since Friday and think it is safe to say that this may end up being one of my favorite NFG albums as a whole. Every song is just so damn good.
this record totally makes up for the two before it. they should push The Sound of Two Voices on radio just to see what happens. everything on that song is a hook
I mean, A Blink-182, Paramore, and NFG tour would be off the chain..... But I wouldn't mind another NFG, Set Your Goals, and Fireworks (Get them back together) tour.
I think I've listened to this NFG album more times since Friday than I have Radiosurgery, Resurrection and NWOAF combined. Really happy with how it came out.
