Treat Yourself is so fucking good. Can’t stop listening. Intro is reminiscent of Pulley’s, “Gone,” which is a GOAT for me.
Really sinking in for me now. Love that this is a return to form for them after the miss that was Forever & Ever. Only a handful of small bumps in the road for me (Medicine, You Got This) but SO many hardcore-led guitars which I love. Boom Roasted needs to be a live staple.
I never really cared for Dream Born Again on the acoustic album but damn it sounds so huge here I love it
Will echo that You Got This is probably the weakest song on the album. Everything else is solid at the very least. Vinyl got delayed with the weather but should be here today.
This might be their easiest listen front to back. I’m very happy with this album. Cant wait to figure out the riffs. Bet there will be a deluxe edition too.
Setlist last night was insane: Ballad for the Lost Romantics Play Video All Downhill From Here Play Video Treat Yourself (Live debut) Play Video Understatement Play Video Black & Blue Play Video Stories of a Different Kind (first time since 2017) Play Video Memories and Battle Scars Play Video Laugh It Off Play Video Tip of the Iceberg Play Video Your Biggest Mistake Play Video Beer and Blood Stains (Live debut) Play Video My Friends Over You Play Video Truth of My Youth Play Video Barbed Wire (first time since 2018) Play Video Oxygen (first time since 2017) Play Video The NeverEnding Story (Limahl cover) (first time since 2018) Play Video Never Give Up Play Video Truck Stop Blues Play Video Hit or Miss Play Video Intro
Amazing set. Interesting that they touched on every album except FxE. That album is their worst but GOAT still slaps.
This is a great NFG album, really loving it. Love the guitars and the little group vox that pop up. There’s a few lyrics that are ehhh but overall this is a fun album.
Medicine is great, I'll start there. I'm surprised by how much I like this. Disliked all the singles, never really listen to NFG outside of coming home (and very rarely). This is really fun though.
I wouldn't say I hate it, certainly not this early. I just think it's different to the flow of the record that precedes it.
