That Wall Of Sound review.... "With a sound drenched in beer" yeah....that is NOT how I'd describe this band at ALL.
these guys are my favorite band but these new tracks just don’t hit for me. I still make it a point to support them and see them live each year, but they have really struggled with the songwriting lately.
I remember when this website's predecessor did two official reviews for Resurrection with wildly different scores Not making a comment just bringing up the lore
Listened to the Artist Friendly interview. Hot take: did not like it. Learned a lot about Jordan and therapy but nothing about the album or band. Sounds like Jordan also did the Toby Morse pod so let’s see when that comes out
i feel like that’s normally the vibe of joel’s podcast. It’s not always a deep dive into whatever the guests’ latest project is. It’s often just two people having a conversation. There’s already plenty of interviews out there with the band about the album. This is a nice change of pace.
*ahem* Rock Cellar Magazine - Bruised, Broken, but Resilient: Pop-Punk Vets New Found Glory Deliver a Battle Cry of Hope with ‘Listen Up!’ (Album Review)
Yeah the Podcast is never a typical plug for his guest’s current project. It’s more of Joel and his guest shooting the shit like friends would for an hour and just talk about whatever pops up.
I still enjoy the less promotional approach to the Artist Friendly podcast but Joel moves the conversation to therapy and mental health in every single episode I've listened to and it's become repetitive. Having read your post I may avoid this one.
they nailed dream born again!!!! a love song is the greatest!!!! the key change in you got this!!!! AOTY!!!!!!!!
Album is good but I think that's about the best it will get from me. Certainly better than the last one.
