I'm extremely excited for a new NFG album. They're one of my all time favorites.

 

I dig the single, but it doesn’t feel like a first single to me. Very excited for this record

 

I can’t wait for this but the title is awful.

 

Is this meant to be out? Half way through rn on Apple music

 

Somebody has definitely messed this up. Downloaded the whole album on Apple Music.

This album leaked 110 days in advance. Unreal. I feel so bad for NFG right now.

 

Just read through this thread. I was thinking that May sounds like a good timeframe for an NFG record, and now I am surprised to here people say it leaked already. What’s the accountability of streaming services or whomever in case like this?

 

Every now and then I think it's weird that albums don't seem to leak early anymore. Then this happens. Didn't Anberlin's New Surrender leak a few months early too?

 

I agree this is insanely early but how this is awful for them? No one buys records, they'll still get millions of streams and they sell out every show they do. This just adds more great tracks to the setlist IMO

 

New Surrender is over a decade old though. But yea, advance leaks were much more common prior to the streaming era of music.

 

They also spent lots of time, money, planning in the rollout of their new album that doesn’t come out for almost 3 months and it’s already out there in its entirety before its even been announced. Cmon. Easy to see why this is really shitty for the band.

I'm sure they know. how could they not?

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if they do an early release soon.

 

Bands rack up big streaming numbers in the first few weeks a new release hits streaming services. If this is out there for their fans to listen to illegally, a good number of them will likely do so, thus leading to less streams when it actually hits streaming services months from now.
