Oh my god... I didn’t even realize until just now that “Trophy” never got added to my iTunes playlist for some reason. I’ve literally never heard that track. I guess that shows you how little I care about this album considering I didn’t notice that I was missing an available song this whole time.
Just listened, and I agree. That hook is actually really good despite those ridiculous lyrics. haha. I'm kind of digging this one.
This is why I was hoping Ryan Key would have wrote a song with them for the album, and Will Pugh. Other experienced song writers (lyricists) who they’ve worked well with before.
My "ranking" for songs on this album Slipping Away Himalaya Stay Awhile Nothing to Say Birthday Song but Not really ...............
this song created the effect of an exploding bomb for me at the time of release. I do not see a more suitable option for the first single
Chad says a lot of things...but I am so glad he's said there will be another NFG album in two years, according to what your post says.
I actually really like this album. I listened to it a few times in February and that was it. But once it got warmer I came back to it while working out and going for runs. The lyrics are still really bad but there are some catchy hooks on here and a lot of these songs will be a ton of fun in a live setting. It will definitely end up towards the bottom of their discography for me but I have gotten some enjoyment out of it. I haven't heard Same Side Sitters yet but from what I have heard of it from clips on Instagram it sounds decent.
Do places like SmartPunk shop ship out ahead of time so it comes close to the release date? I like that new variant they havr for the livestream but I'm not changing my order again.
Still haven't listened to the album but the more interviews I'm reading/hearing it sounds like this is the least thought out record they've done in a while. Just throwing riffs together and having fun. I'd much prefer layering of vocals and sweet melody's but, okay.
