I bet the Target deal is also somewhat preventing them from releasing it early-ish. But why not just push all that to online orders?

 

Personally I think they should just release it digitally and maybe online orders of the physical. But I did read an article recently saying how music consumption, streaming and actual purchases, has dropped significantly since lockdown. So I'm sure they're factoring stuff like that in.

 

Man, they really seem to believe in this record. I suppose it's good that they are in a good place as a band at least.

 

From the looks of the video it seems like they recorded 15 songs which means there will be probably no b-sides or deluxe songs.

 

This whole album IS 15 tracks of b-sides. lol

 

NFG usually has some really good b-sides.

 

Had no idea until over this past weekend it had leaked.

 

I've listened to this album enough at this point already that the one track that's missing will feel like a bonus song when it finally comes out.

 

Still so odd why it's the one song that didn't come with the leak.

 

I can’t believe this is still over a month away from being officially released.

 

Two months. They pushed the release back to June 19th.

Given the lyrical content and quality of this album I would be willing to bet that “Same Side Sitters” is about two people who are so in love that they sit on the same side of a restaurant booth when they go out for dinner. And there will be a line referencing it for sure.

Sitting on the same side of a booth when there’s only two of you at the table is peak serial killer behaviour.

 

It’s a pet peeve of mine when i see it. It’s just sooo cheesy, while making me feel a little claustrophobic for the one who is trapped in the booth. And sometimes comes as a bit co-dependent/Insecure, like you really just can’t stand to be that far way that you have to sit on the same side?

 

Did we rule out "Puzzles" possibly being "Same Side Sitters"? The names vaguely work together and the song lengths are only different by one second. I kind of doubt it, but after sitting with both for a while now, I definitely like that song more than any on this new record so....I wouldn't hate it.

 

I'd say the odds are slim since it was on an official release.

We probably won't get it unless they release a B-sides album or something.

 

Well, it was just the demo version that was on the covers album so I wouldn't rule it out for that reason, but yeah, I'm still skeptical as well.

 

Smartpunk shop still has the original release date listed for the vinyl. I wonder if they will still send them out around that time.

 

Kinda blew it moving the release to coincide with Record Store Day and then RSD getting pushed lol
