seems like a pretty good excuse to me. it's not like the album isn't finished or anything, so it's not like they're trying to cover up anything.
Well it wasn’t them that leaked it so I think they get a major pass for dealing with that and all the other stuff going on. I feel bad them, but I’m confident they’ll get through this as band quote fine.
Like someone else said why can they not just delay the physical release and press on with the digital side of things?
That's most likely the record company's call, and I'd assume that releasing the digital and physical albums separately would hurt the physical album sales. And since physical copies obviously cost more money to produce, they probably don't want to risk the potential loss of a lot of money.
does seem like a hopeless records call but what they really should so is push it back forever + ever x infinity
What about people that pre-ordered and are having it shipped? I don't have to leave my house to have an album delivered. This is so weird.
Well I didn't even finish listening to this. I don't want to insult this band's hard work, but I'm not sure making this album required any
I don't buy any other reason than money to push these albums back. Stop trying to hide behind a "safety first" reason. EDIT: you also know what would help keep these record stores open until RSD? People buying records from them and getting them shipped to their house.
Lol. I felt this way for a few weeks after I first heard it. Then the songs started growing on me. If I don't think about Makes Me Sick Again and let these new songs stand on their own, that helps. It's more of a simple and fun record for them, I think. Also, this album rollout is a huge mess. Delaying it seems poorly thought out. Also, not sure why they have so many vinyl variants? The hundreds of unsold Makes Me Sick/Again variants Hopeless/the band have been sitting on the last few years...they were even on sale for like $10 and didn't sell.
I suppose the community here is a very small portion of the fan base. A lot of people probably really dig it.
Does NFG gets damages from whatever website leaked their album? Not sure how those situations play out.
The chatter I've heard is doing it on Black Friday. Which seems like a terrible idea to me but what do I know...
It seems like people outside of this site don't even know the album leaked months ago, I haven't seen a single mention of it in the comments of any of their socials, but lots of people saying they can't wait
I saw a comment on their last facebook post about it. But other than that it does seem like most of their fans don't know. Kinda strange
