Random thought not related to the record. Does anyone else prefer All Downhill From Here over My Friends Over You as a closer for the live shows? They did it when Catalyst came out, and I always thought it fit that spot just as good.

First half of the album is growing on me. Second half is still kinda meh. It still feels like a step back overall and the mixing isnt my favorite. But hey, I'll take an okay NFG album over nothing anyday.

My favorite closer was "Hit or Miss". As someone who got into them after S&S and didn't see them until 2004 I find it super special.

It's only happened three times for me. S&S tour in 2013 and then the two album shows that featured self-titled.

EDIT: I miss Intro into MFOY though

Yeah they haven't played Intro in awhile which is dumb since they can easily squeeze it in

I assumed they always played Intro in Downhill live

2/2 for me. I dig the chunkiness

Still probably my favorite on the album. I only wish it was a tad longer.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the lyric is “you opportunistic whore” because I’m fully about to go nuclear on Chad Gilbert

To me, it doesn't sound like it.

with this lyrics the album should not have "Parental Advisory"?

Even without that specific word, given what Hayley has been saying in interviews recently, the song is problematic at best. Dude is a predator on round 3 of his usual cycle. Can we do something this time before another woman is hurt?

Yeah it was kind of sad to read some of those interviews

I'm not able to confirm it but it sounds like an awkward "oh" to me. It's very clunky lyrically as a song. Ruined what could have been something worthwhile.

Chad writes NFGs lyrics? I had no clue.

Also wasn't really feeling this song, but that ending was killer.

We don't really know who does at this point. The band used to say it was Steve but interviews after he left said they did that because he felt like he offered nothing to the band,

With a lot of the content on this album it seems like Chad either wrote the lyrics or said what the songs should be about.

New Found Glory's 'Nothing to Say' Lyric Video: Watch

Here’s his explanation of the song. And for what it’s worth, that word doesn’t appear in the lyric video which leads me to believe he’s just saying “oooooh”.

    Things have changed.

    It's "opportunist" not "opportunistic"

yeah, the "oh" is clearly leading into the next phrase of the song
