Actually, they didn’t really have many political songs in ‘95. If you’re listening to pop punk bands from the 2000’s you’d be mistaken not to admit they weren’t influenced by NOFX. Again, not liking people or lyrical content doesn’t dismiss they fact that Smelly is an amazing drummer, Mike’s got fantastic bass lines, El Hefe is a trained musician. He mentioned political and pop punk vibe. The Decline, Franco UnAmerican. I could list many more. Not saying you have to like them, it’s is an accurate answer though (for the political songs).
Listened to some of this today (in a better mood) and Nothing To Say, Stay Awhile, and Like I Never Existed are pretty good jams Double Chin for The Win might be their worst song ever, that chorus is just.. woof
I think you were right though when you said you could cut this down and make, at the very least, a decent album.
Seeing known shitbag Chad Gilbert's band's record leak before it was even announced... we love to see it.
they really need to re-press S/T and Sticks and Stones and actually press Catalyst and Coming Home. fucking MCA/Geffen
I had no idea Sticks was so tough to come by for a reasonable price until very recently! When I started collecting, I picked up that and NGCS for like $50 total on eBay, hah. Would love to own the other pre-NWAF records though. Can’t say I haven’t debated dropping the coin for the s/t picturedisc a time or two
Didn’t they repress Sticks and Stones a couple of years ago or am I imagining? And I remember a long time ago Chad blew up on the dude from Enjoy The Ride records for getting the rights for Catalyst but he never pressed it to my knowledge. Said he wouldn’t out of respect.
