I like the new one, but Lift a Sail was the audio equivalent of watching dry paint to me- not watching it dry, mind you, but coming along after the fact and just watching it exist, all dry and boring.

Totally agree with all Lift the Sail is boring comments. Also to hell with NFG at this point. Just stop. Be an oldies band.

 

Bias has nothing to do with her opinion or taste. She didn't say it was the greatest thing in the history of all things ever. She said she heard a new song that has become her favorite NFG song. What the fuck is biased about that?

I'm sure they'll do that just to appease YOU and give the middle finger to their fans. Be a more pretentious ballbag, you can't. How about my favorite pop-punk band continues to make music for me and their fans and you can just go fuck off or whatever it is you do.

THIS. Secret Weapon is incredibly underrated in the MxPx canon. "Shut It Down," "You're On Fire" and the title track are all-timers for me and don't get played live enough.

If they can tap into their energy at that level and with Sprinkle's ear, we're in store for something great.

 

That's one of their best albums.

 

Hoping for good things. I thought every single NFG album was amazing up until Radiosurgery. Resurrection got them back on track but it didn't last long for me.

I'd like to see them go in a direction that combines Coming Home and Not Without a Fight. Not exactly like them but something that they look to for influence.

She doesn't have to claim it is the best in the world to have a biased opinion. To be frank, she does have a biased opinion here. She may genuinely enjoy it but to say she's not biased at all is ridiculous.
