Those guys are practically in their late 30's and playing pop punk...20 years later. I think thats awesome haha. I'm 30, btw. Still feel like I'm 18 though and still listen to pop punk regularly haha.
27 years old and I'll be chilling out near the back because I broke my ankle a few weeks ago and it probably won't be 100% by then.
I'm excited to hear No News Is Good News, Love And Pain, Reasons, When I Die, and pretty much everything off NGCS.
26 and my photo is of me crowd surfing to The Used. I will be doing the same for NFG at The Observatory.
If you're 26 you probably shouldn't be crowd surfing. It's like taking photos on a railroad track. Dangerous, cliché, not worth it.
I've always believed that size is the only thing that matters when crowd surfing. Nothing worse than a person who is way too big to surf landing on your head from behind in the pit. I'm around 170, and I don't crowd surf because I think I weigh too much.
How has the reaction to Trash Boat been so far? I'm pretty pumped to see them as well -- "Nothing I Write..." is a fantastic pop-punk album.
Decent reaction. Lots of standing around but a few pits broke out for a few of their songs. I think they won over a few people in their 30 min set.
There are still so many newer Pop Punk bands that I can't tell the difference between. In one hand its cool because Pop Punk is alive and well, but in the other hand its sad because I feel like many of these bands lack that "signature sound" like Blink/NFG/Green Day have to help them stick out more in the genre.
I'm 23 and I stage dove on Tuesday and the crowd cleared and nobody caught me and I have been in very bad pain since lol I think that was my stage dive retirement
I've been watching some videos from these shows and the crowds look awesome. Everyone is moving and singing along. Makes me so happy for these guys.
27, 270 lbs, and I've never stage dived. I realize that's to the betterment and safety of my fellow concert goers, but still... it's an unrealized dream. The only time I ever really thought seriously about it was at one of SYG's "Mutiny!" shows, since multiple folks were stage diving at a time, seemingly every second, and there enough people crammed against the stage that I thought I might get away with it... And even then I decide against it. Ah well, still excited for this show!
I do remember that haha. Favorite NFG song? Shit that is hard. I'd probably default to Hit because the Nothing Gold version was the first song I heard by them and love the ending to the ST version that was added. ST is definitely my favorite record of theirs. I really like Second to Last, Sucker, All About Her, and Vegas. Ballad is awesome too. If I was making a Manthem playlist that song would definitely be on there. It gives me similar vibes with the lyrics haha.
They should have a tour exclusively for tall, heavyset dudes. That way, nobody gets a good view, and everyone gets to stagedive, lol!
