Was about the post the same thing. Wonder how it'll shake it. And does the 76 different songs mean only the albums? Would have to look at track lists for it.
Well, shit. So much for my plan of watching Sticks & Stones, then heading across the street to see State Champs.
Nothing Gold Can Stay - 12 New Found Glory - 12 Sticks & Stones- 12 Catalyst - 14 Coming Home - 13 Not Without A Fight - 12 That's 75 songs. I'm guessing Makes Me Sick will be the other song.
Super smart on their part. I was just thinking it'd be lame to see how many people leave after self titled and sticks and stones
Then play those records last and keep people around. Brand New did that by playing Daisy first. Playing the songs out of order is a terrible move, in my opinion.
At least for the first night with S/T & Sticks and Stones I wanted to hear both records in order. I don't think people would leave after either of those either. Catalyst and NWAF night people totally would have left after Catalyst
I love NWAF haha I haven't seen a ton of those songs live either so I might be the most excited for that
These guys always go above and beyond for their fans even after 20 years. You can't knock them for changing up their sets to keep fans from leaving early.
they dont need to do that for S&S and self-titled, but i'm okay with doing that for the rest of the tour.
I saw them when they initially toured for that album back in '09 (I believe SYG were direct support for that one, along with Bayside) but if memory serves me correct, they only played 2-3 songs from the album and that was all. I love NWAF so much.
That's my point. And they've already done 10 year tours for self-titled and Sticks & Stones. They did two legs for Sticks & Stones.
that's actually pretty cool. I remember going to all four shows of Alkaline Trio's Past Live and there were moments where it was like "ugh gotta get through this stretch of weaker songs now" there are some moments on NWAF, Catalyst, and Coming Home that I would feel that way
I was a little disappointed at first when I read his post but I think I'm in the "this could be good" camp and I was already planning staying for the full shows. Helps break up the weaker spots on the albums and it will be fun to see how they order the songs.
