A new documentary on Hot Water Music’s Chuck Ragan, titled Landsick, has been released.

For decades, Costa Pro Chuck Ragan seemed to be in constant motion, first touring with the influential punk band, Hot Water Music, and later as a solo artist. But in 2015, Ragan got his guide’s license and downshifted to life in Grass Valley to spend more time with his wife and young son, while putting clients on trout, steelhead, and bass in the Sierra foothills, along with stripers in the California Delta. Landsick explores the tension between life on the road and the water.

This feature piece didn’t really explore the tensions like it suggests, but it really showed the two sides and passions of Chuck’s life. He also has an interesting backstory. Chuck’s music is nicely highlighted by the visuals in this as well. On The Bow is my favourite song by him as well.
