I've updated the auto-embedder to handle a variety of new formats automatically. Sites that should automatically work (or can be added using the media embed button) include:
    • Bandcamp
    • Bleacher Report Videos
    • College Humor
    • Comedy Central
    • Dailymotion
    • ESPN
    • Facebook
    • Flickr
    • Funny or Die
    • Imgur
    • Instagram
    • Libsyn
    • NPR
    • Podbean
    • Soundcloud
    • Spotify
    • Team Coco
    • The Onion
    • TinyPic Videos
    • Tumblr
    • Twitter
    • VEVO
    • Vimeo
    • Vine
    • YouTube

    A couple tests:

  3. Embeds should also load dynamically (ie: on scroll when they show into view) to help with performance on mobile and such. Linking using the URL bbcode will not embed.

I am seriously awestruck that there are this many auto-embeds. Pretty astounding. Just wow.

  7. This is great. Simplification is great. I love that Libsyn is included.

  8. I need to look at their code and see. Do they allow embedding of anything beside Connect stuff yet?

I know a little something you won't ever know Prestigious

    How about streamable?

Hm, not sure actually. Maybe I've only seen Connect.

(of course i put the asterisk to interrupt the code)

so, instead of doing this by album_id, is it possible to change the embedding process to just include the band's actual URL?

for example,, you would just be able to type in [ME*DIA=bandcamp]terrainofficial[/bandcamp]. That would make it a lot easier.

album_id used to be an easy way to do it, but now bandcamp has changed the syntax of their URLs or something and it's hard to find an album_id for a lot of artists.
  12. Just use the regular link and it will auto embed:
