I like watching Netflix sober

 

They fucked up the ending but the other 5 eps are some of the best tv i saw last year.

 

I thought it totally lost the plot after they killed Julia. Plus it was just so silly. The ending was the worst of it for sure though.

 

This You vs Wild thing is neat, but I really don't like Grylls. Hard to take anything he does seriously with some of his locations debunked.

 

I think Netflix will be in trouble with the Disney plus announcements

 

They’re not going anywhere but I wonder what their response is going to be. I’m still surprised they haven’t offered a stripped down “Netflix originals only” version for less cost

 

Netflix has peaked and won’t be as good with disney removing their content soon. But they are putting their eggs in the original content basket, for better or for worse. I dont think anyone overtakes them within the next 5 years.

 

Anyone watch Unicorn Store?

I'm watching it now and it's... it's a movie. The dialogue feels incredibly forced, but it looks nice and Brie is always a treat

I read a few reviews. Sounds like it’s typical zombie fare but with some interesting cinematography. I added it to my list, will probably check it out.

It’s pretty funny how the day after they announced Disney+ and how much it will cost, I received an email from Netflix informing me of another price increase.

With that in mind, however... Netflix ain’t going anywhere.

 

What do you mean “another price increase”? There was the announcement a few months ago of a price increase that went into effect for me this month - but I didn’t get an email reminder about it (only a reminder notice when I logged in about two weeks ago)

Yeah it must be. I received an email notice about it, and there’s some deja vu attached here, so that may be the confusion on my part haha. Feels like I’ve heard Netflix do this more than a few times.

I liked the concept, but yeah, it wasn't good.

 

I’ve noticed recently just how annoying the rewind feature is on Netflix. I try to go back one line and it does at least 30 seconds.
