I’m halfway through squid game and it’s just okay. Doesn’t feel like it brings anything new to the genre.

 

I decided to watch Alice in Borderland now that I’ve seen squid game

Sounds like I need to check these out based on my amusement with Squid Game

 

I’m a few episodes in the Alice in Borderland and I don’t feel as hooked as squid game but I’ll keep watching.

 

I like them both pretty equally. Squid game dives more into the psychology of the participants which I like.

My Netflix recommendations included sweet home which might be in a similar vein as those two so I'll check it out.

OK. Im on episode 2 of squid game. I'm 'Hooked'. I didnt watch Tiger King when it came out, but people watched it for entertainment value.

Maybe this is psychology value?

 

Yeah I watched a few more episodes of squid game and like it a lot more than I originally thought.

If y'all are itching for something more like Squid Game, watch 3%. It's got a huge cheese factor, but it's pretty darn good.

Definitely Devs too

 

Loved Halt and Catch Fire, especially after the first season. Devs is definitely good.

The OA might be in the right vein as Mr Robot, Leftovers too, and of course, Dark is awesome but more sci-fi, none of those are as "tech-themed."

Haven't seen anything on the same level as Mr Robot while being pretty damn good at the whole tech stuff.

 

I watched the first season of halt and catch fire as it aired and didn’t love it but I’ve heard it gets much better after that. Devs is fantastic. I stopped mr robot somewhere around season 2 or 3 and never went back.

 

Been considering a Mr. Robot rewatch actually. Would be nice to time it so that I hit season 4 during the holidays. Best show

Coincidentally, I’m mid-Leftovers right now so it’s funny to see that mentioned. Definitely agreed on the parallels between the two
