  6. Yep, Boy Meets World is the one for me. One of the best friendships on tv ever.

  7. They're not nineties, but Parks and Rec and The Good Place have good characters. Sitcoms don't have to have annoying people.

Those are certain types of sitcoms, they’re not sitcom-ass sitcoms

They’re single camera. Most of the discussion here was about 90s/early 00s multi cam

Scrubs is still my favourite. It makes me feel so good whenever I watch an episode.

Yeah but even say Modern Family is single cam but that’s still more of a traditional sitcom in many way than those others, despite the faux documentary format

I think I don’t like a lot of sitcoms (such as always sunny) specifically bc the characters aren’t supposed to be likeable? I’m just like no thanks I’ll take parks and rec and good place where 90% are good genuine people I wanna root for lol

I've never been a super fan of Friends and/or Seinfeld. Actually, didn't care for Seinfeld at all when it was airing originally when I was younger, but I've come to appreciate both shows (Curb is an all-timer for me).

As far as the 'live' sitcom era, I definitely grew up on Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World, Saved by the Bell, Hangin with Mr. Cooper. Wayans Brothers, Family Matters, Full House. Definitely forgetting some but those are the shows that come to mind when I think about 90s sitcoms that I loved and grew up with.

Oh yeah Wayans Brothers is a gem. Also loved the Jamie Foxx Show. And that LL Cool J sitcom.

I just generally don't enjoy most sitcoms.

I do like B99, The Good Place, and most of The Office though

Id say Community, B99, Always Sunny, P&R, Good Place, and The Office are my most watched sitcoms by far these days. Party Down is right up there as well.

does The Goldbergs count as a sitcom? for a "newer" one i definitely enjoy that one along with Last Man Standing and Mike and Molly (an older one but just watching it now as its on some local channel right after work).

older favorites have mostly been mentioned already.

This year I have rewatched The Nanny and Fresh Prince. We watch a lot of current sitcoms though.

The Goldbergs are very much a sitcom. I love it. Schooled, the spin-off, is fun too. I liked Last Man Standing but then they recast Mandy after the hiatus and it hasn’t been the same. Molly Ephraim had so much charisma.

I just realized the vast majority of those sitcoms I just listed will likely be leaving Hulu and Netflix for Peacock. Sigh. That might be the one streaming platform I cave into.

very good point about LMS. i actually blocked out that it came back without Ephraim. she was basically the main glue / charm of the show (along with Kyle of course) and the recast of her was awful. should have just written in that she moved somewhere or something.

One of my favorite sitcoms of all time was The Tracey Morgan Show but it was cancelled after one season and they didn’t even air all episodes
