When I was in Canada I learned there doesn't seem to be any legal subscription-based streams of Parks and Rec or Always Sunny and I was so sad. Not Amazon or Netflix anyways, and Hulu is US only.

But then I learned they have Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Netflix and all happiness was restored

 

Ah, I’ve heard of, but never watched, any of those shows.

 

American Crime Story is easily his best creation. I like the majority of Horror Story, liked Scream Queens, watched then hated Glee

 

We watched Glee for like 2-3 seasons then just stopped

 

watching the Scream movies which netflix has available until I believe Sunday

I've never once seen an ad on Amazon Prime, do I have a different plan or something?

I think they offer a streaming only plan and a student plan, but I don’t know if there are any differences with those. Maybe the place you watch affects your ads?

Yeah I don't know what ads y'all are talking about. Every time I open the app I get one while it's opening but that's it

 

I get one when I watch things for free like Battlestar Galactica. Things I purchase there isn't anything.

 

Is it during an episode?

 

No before the episode starts and it's always for an Amazon original. Maybe 15 seconds so not a big deal.

 

Those who don't see a 15 second ad of other Amazon shows when first streaming an episode, what kind of device are you watching on, and is it a Prime original?

I get the ads on Apple TV, Roku and Chromecast and had it back when I had Student Prime and now that I have regular prime. Amazon does let you fast forward through it though

I don't get ads on some devices, on some I do. It makes no sense. Very little about Prime makes any sense.

 

I basically only watch on Roku, and I’m not sure which ones get ads because it happens so rarely. I watch originals and others pretty evenly.

 

Throwing this in here as well as the expanse thread. Excitement is through the roof.
