I really feel like piracy could have gone down drastically with the advent of streaming but as things get more flooded and more services start popping up, we're just back to where we started.

the only ones I’m getting are

    Hulu, Disney + and Crunchyroll.

I’ll just use my parents Netflix since they use my Hulu.

I didn’t realize Hoopla was available for my
library until just now and I’m stoked to try it. I can finally watch Mandy for sure.

I love that "Crunchyroll" is the name of an actual service lol. Never heard of that one before.

I have cable tv, use my mom's Netflix and that's all

  10. Losing this and The Office really fucking sucks.

I always feel weird mourning the loss of something I own on DVD, but the convenience factor is unbelievable.

I'm surprised how many people watch Friends and The Office on Netflix when they're always on tv

Hulu, Netflix, Prime and maybe Disney+ are as far as I will go. I have apps to Chromecast online streams and can deal with 720p streams. I hope NBC and TW fail dramatically with this move.

I don't have TV. And the Office is my antidepressant. Tough loss for me.

I have every season of Friends on DVD, and I still choose to watch it on Netflix nearly every night (and have for years), so I'm bummed. I don't watch enough tv to subscribe to any other service.

Putting in a DVD is such a PAIN.

First World Problems, but man, I wasted YEARS of my life collecting DVDs. I probably have more than 500 films and TV shows that I'll likely never touch again.

That said, we still use our DVD player for kids' movies that aren't on Netflix or on Cable.

Stranger Things season 3 was a lot better than 2.

No dumb Chicago episode in season 3 so it’s an automatic win

  21. In regards to Friends and The Office:

    -I don't have cable
-I don't even use DVDs anymore
-I realize that they both play on local stations over antenna but then you have to actually go by the scheduled airing times and it's only 1 or 2 episodes, plus commercials!
-I like to choose which episodes to watch
    -I am mad

Glad to hear positive things about Stranger Things 3. I really liked the first season, but lost interest about halfway through the 2nd. Just watched the "catch up" video with the cast and am excited for part 3.

Yeah it really is a HUGE improvement over S2 imo, hope you like it!

  24. I use my computer both for DVDs and for streaming haha. I do have a separate media player I use mainly for CDs, though.

I like collecting things, but I'm still having trouble finding a balance between time spent streaming and time spent watching DVDs. Most of the stuff I buy just sits there for the longest time before I get to opening it. I have learned recently, though, that the need to always be caught up on everything is overrated. If I want to take a break from watching newly released shows to re-watch a show I own that's perfectly fine.

I would rather digitally repurchase a movie I already own than to watch a DVD of it. No HD is a deal breaker for me
