Does anyone know exactly how Netflix/other services determines whether to show the long or the short intro of a show? New Girl for example, seems like it’s mostly the short one

 

Episode 7 of the bear would have been amazing if I didn’t have damn ads every few minutes

This is actually just the show, not Netflix. As the seasons went on, they dropped the whole song for the shorter versions

 

Watched “You People.” It’s fine but it commits the two comedy sins of being two hours long and giving Eddie Murphy absolutely nothing to do.

 

Shotgun Wedding was just so, so bad… outside of the phenomenal death scene at the end. Never seen something like that before.

 

haha yeah I really enjoyed it. Thought it was a thoughtful spin on the typical cooking shows. I need more!

 

Started Shrinking last night. Only 2 episodes released so far but it feels like Apple struck gold once again.

 

FInally watched The Fallout. Doesn't need to be said that Jenna Ortega is amazing because we all know this now

 

I’ll probably watch shrinking further, and maybe it turns it around, but man that was some cloying shit imo.

 

First episode of Poker Face was great

 

I enjoyed the first episode of poker face and shrinking.

 

Signed up for Peacock for a year for $30 (comes with ads I think though so that’s no good) and my god this user interface is fucking horrid. It’s as if Peacock doesn’t know that other streaming services exist because I don’t know how you screw up this badly. Maybe I’ll get the hang of it after using it for a bit but my god it’s like they want to give Prime a run for worst user experience

 

do you not like the Prime redesign?
I haven't dabbled with it too much but it seems somewhat improved.

 

I honestly haven’t gone into Prime in many months so maybe it’s been updated but for years it was so bad and clunky and I know a lot of peoples biggest gripes were that it would have stuff you could rent mixed in with what came with prime which confused alot of people (especially folks like my parents lol)

 

well I'll say this, it looks super nice now! haha

let me be the first to agree that I too used to have those problems before the redesign. I *think* they should be mostly fixed now!

 

2nd episode of Poker Face wasn't quite as strong but still enjoying this a lot.

The whole vibe of the show is actually quite soothing

 

Velma is one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. Might legit be the worst tbh

 

Most of this is pretty cringe but some of the scenes with just Jonah and Eddie had me rolling. "What's the name of this song again?" "A pack of good pals in Paris?"

 

As someone who doesn’t like the mole, I finally get to enjoy something similar. Traitors is great and I can’t stop watching. There better be a second season.

I was gagged when the other two turned on Cody.

 

Yeah I enjoyed traitors way more than the mole. The eliminations never made sense to me in the mole…they had to take a quiz with random questions and that somehow determined who got eliminated?? It was weird.

 

well, the questions were all about WHO the mole is. So... if you are good at the game, figuring out who the mole is, you get to stay. Seems pretty straightforward haha

 

Super addicting show

 

But if I remember correctly we as the audience didn’t even get to see all the questions. And they were things like “who do you think has cheated in a relationship?” Which on the outside could mean someone is deceitful but it didn’t really have anything to do with who the mole was. Idk it just always felt random to me.

 

So if I’m currently loving the mole, I’ll like the traitors? It’s not available anywhere in Canada, but I’ll happily pirate it if so
