On my last episode of kaleidoscope and while I appreciate the idea I think it would have worked better just having the episode in an actual order. I am enjoying it though.

 

Not sure how to go about watching that... thought about putting pieces of paper in a hat with each EP and go based on how we pull what one out.

I think netflix shuffles it for you, I just pressed play and it definitely wasn't in order.

 

You can't just watch individual episodes?

 

you’re supposed to be able to watch the show in any order so anytime I’d watch one I’d just hit play next episode and I think Netflix just plays one at random. They aren’t listed by episode number just titled by color.

 

You can. It's a choose-your-own-adventure type thing.

 

I'm weary of watching Kaleidoscope because Paramount+ had a show called Interrogation that had the same "watch in any order besides the finale" concept and it was awful. I think it was originally planned as an anthology but it was canned after one season.

I also didn’t really like the Black Mirror “choose your own story” episode. All these things seem cool on paper but I haven’t seen anything like this that executes the concept well enough for me.

 

I thought Bandersnatch was great, but you kind of had to follow every path you could find to get the most out of it.

 

Started Kaleiscope and liking it so far, went with Yellow and Green first. Watching Violet now and good lord the de-aging effects for Giancarlo Esposito are insanely bad lol. I think the wig they are using makes it worse too.

 

Loved Bandersnatch, I watched it 2 or 3 times

 

Banners match was fun to put in with my roommates, but it’s not something I ever really wanted to revisit.

 

I vaguely remember enjoying it when it dropped, but now I can’t even remember the premise or any of the plot—which is why I can’t really say it stuck for me.

 

What's everyone's thought on Mythic Quest? I might start it tonight.

 

It's good, it took me a few episodes to get really into it though

 

I really enjoyed it and it's got some great, witty dialogue and a few unexpected 'side' episodes that are great. However, I'm struggling with the current season. A lot of wheel spinning in my opinion, but I'm not that far into it. I just expected more for the new season based on where the 1st season left off and haven't really seen any progression.

 

Lol holy cow the “Eric Goes To Hollywood” episode is actually a more awkward rewatch considering Fred Savage’s issues than the one actually featuring Fred Savage. Yikes.

 

Love Mythic Quest. Definitely increases in quality from the start as it goes on. Though this season has been good, but not as great as last season. I’d still say it’s definitely worth it.

 

i want to get into that this weekend and see what it's like. it'd be interesting to compare orders and thoughts afterward.
