Yeah, I've seen those kinds of fans... The fans who hate the therapy scenes in the Sopranos. Same people who pump their fists for Heisenberg and hate Skylar in BB. It's painfully ironic. They are the exact kinds of people the writers of the show are criticizing haha.

 

I've never watched the sopranos. Idk why. But the wire destroyed any ounce of a soul I may have had at one point

Another thing i liked how The Wire depicted queer characters: I know most people talk about Omar, but Kima deserves some props too.

Her's was the probably the first i've ever seen a queer relationship on screen depicted as being just as dysfunctional as straight relationships. Also i liked that they gave archetype of the "hard drinking, womanizing, but almost unnaturally talented detective" that's usually reserved for white straight guys to a black lesbian.

 

Way too much out right now. I'm in the middle of Love is Blind but I also need to start the new seasons of Ramy, The Crown, Mythic Quest, and The White Lotus ughhh

 

Also for the "fans not getting the point" thing. There are many (thankfully not the majority) in the Star Trek fandom like this. How can you bitch about wokeness for a franchise that has depicted a multicultural post-scarcity socialist utopia for 60 years?

Wtf is MGM+?

In regards to Yellowstone, yes it’s about rich white dude that doesn’t want to give up his land. But like also there’s Native Americans and I think they’re handled pretty well and I’m rooting for them. It’s like I said in the Yellowstone thread, the show is basically Fast and Furious but with horses. The most nonsensical shit happens in this show but you just kinda go along with it because it’s entertaining

 

Watched the first episode of Tulsa King. That's certainly a show. Not exactly sure it's going to work for me. Seems a little more lighthearted than Sheridan's other stuff and I'm not sure that's his forte, but I'll give it a few episodes.

Titans hasn't really grabbed me this season, not sure if it's me or the show, but I keep falling asleep and don't feel too compelled to finish the episodes.

Speaking of falling asleep, for the past year or so I've been putting on old '90s shows to fall asleep to first was The Flash and Lois and Clark, then Brisco County Jr., and recently I've been throwing on The Commish. What a tonally weird show, it's shot like a comedy, the actors act like it's a comedy, but it deals with some pretty dark themes and crimes. One of the silliest openings to a show I've ever seen, where the Commish is looking for his lost pen and finds it in a pack of pepperoni in the fridge? What the fuck is this show?

 

My dad couldn't believe I've never watched Yellowstone so I checked it out. I watched about 30 mins of the first episode before turning it off. I definitely didn't give it a fair shot but man it seemed like a snoozefest. Guessing it takes a little time to get going?

 

Watching the sex lives of college girls on my snow day and I love it. I love mindy shows

 

Honestly I still don’t know what that opening scene has to do with the whole series. Yeah for me it took like half the first season

 

Spirited also came out and I'm excited for that

 

“Spirited” is fun for like 90 minutes then kind of falls off of a cliff for the next 30. No idea why it needed to be 2+ hours.
