Also I already brought it up in here awhile ago but please please go watch Fire Of Love on Disney+. The editing, the score, the animated segments, the writing, and Miranda July's narration is all just beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous documentary. Kind of has a Herzog meets Wes Anderson vibe.

 

Entertaining first ep. Nothing groundbreaking but if you like Sly then you'll prob like this. Had me laughing at the "fish out of water/old man can't figure out technology" routine throughout since he spent 25 years in prison.

We just started Yellowstone last night but didn't know the first episode was like 1.5 hours long so we didn't finish it lol

 

Two episode premiere; first episode I remember only being like 59 minutes long

People here actually watch that? I mean I'm sure there's a separate thread for it but still, I can't be the only who had zero interest after the GoT finale.

 

House of the Dragon was very good.

 

It was much better than I expected, I almost didn't watch. I also liked the last season of Thrones, so what do I know

 

Hotd was pretty great and I might like the first season more than all but maybe one or two game of thrones seasons.

 

I think a lot of us went in with low expectations / a “sure, whatever” attitude and got sucked back into the Ice and Fire world pretty quickly lol

 

Yeah GoT ended terribly but house of the dragon is very very good.

Top three shows of the year for me!

 

For the people that like Yellowstone, good for you and I’m glad you have it.

However, it seems like an extremely straight white person show and I have no desire to watch it whatsoever lol.

 

Also yes, House of the Dragon was v good and lot more intriguing than any of the last few seasons of GoT. (ignore any irony that may exist from this post compared to my last, I was sucked into ASOIAF after starting GoT!!)

To be fair, this first season is significantly less white than GoT (at least early on, idk how it will pan out) and I’d argue gayer if you count the undertones from the first couple of episodes lol
