Also i'm confused because i see a lot of people on here and on Twitter assuming that HBO originals will somehow be separate from HBO Max, like they will no longer be be added onto the service right after they air on HBO like they always have or you'd have to get a separate HBO sub to watch. They haven't said anything indicating as much have they? Or am i missing something? Because that seems nonsensical even for WBD execs.

Just have the finale left to watch. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think people initially thought HBO Max would be dissolved and not merged with Discovery

Honestly if HBODiscovery or whatever it will be called is still a post-airing on cable repository for HBO shows, with some Discovery content, a few non-scripted Originals, and a solid movie library i personally don't have an issue with that.

If it costs more and produces less stuff I’m interested in, that’ll be a bummer.

Is it different from the HBO doc? I saw Josh from Coheed talking about it

Not sure; this one is on Netflix

  10. Yeah it’s a new doc. I’m still recovering from the last one so I probably won’t watch it for a bit. I assume it’s probably more of the same.

Turned on Blown Away on Netflix today. The glass blowing competition show. I've never watched it before but it is fascinating to watch and the show (at least this season) has a refreshing group of contestants who all seem to be genuinely good people with this crazy talent.

I can't put my finger on why, but all of the judges in that show minus Bobby Berk just get on my nerves

But it is insanely cool what the contestants are capable of

haha i'm only a couple episodes in, they seem pretentious but I guess i'm used to that on these types of shows. I'll see how long my tolerance lasts.

It's seriously mind-blowing (heh) to watch. Especially for someone like me who completely lacks any artistic skill. I don't understand how they are doing anything lol.

I have no clue what it’s about, nor do I know anything about Nathan, so I feel like I won’t get it at all.

Just met the main cast of (minus the parents) The Summer I Turned Pretty while downtown. They were hanging together and were the nicest group. All very polite and grateful my wife and I recognized them haha.

bonus: They’re here filming season 2 right now.

looooove this show. working my way through season three now, but what they do is just mesmerizing. i get very opinionated come the present and judging time, though. and those professional glassblowing judges make a lot of wrong decisions if you ask me

You thought it was better than the HBO one?

I mean there’s a better documentary with a supercut of those two.

I felt the HBO one contextualized the crowd a lot better to lay the ground work for the mayhem that ensued.

Netflix did a better job at making the promoters look like buffoons using their own words.

I haven't seen the supercut, but comparing the HBO doc (Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage) and the Netflix one (Trainwreck: Woodstock 99)...

The HBO doc felt like propaganda to me. The Netflix one was more balanced all around, and in my opinion, just better filmmaking.
